Les Nuits Dime On du Cap Estel

Concerts under the stars

The ‘Nuits Dime On’ returns from 21 June to 30 August 2024.

Seven years of music, seven years of passion, seven years of challenges, seven years of togetherness... We've come a long way since those first ‘musical evenings’ evolved into a grandiose project masterminded by Elizabeth Moraglio, better known as Babeth, Operations Manager of the prestigious Cap Estel Hotel, and Medi, founder - among many other talents - of the Dime On record label.

Their vision was clear: to create a stage to host international, national and local artists on the lush green lawns of Cap Estel, offering an exceptional setting for artists to perform under the stars, just a few steps away from their fans.

Seven years of carefully orchestrated programming, featuring over 150 artists including Ayo, Ben l'Oncle Soul, Keziah Jones, Oxmo Puccino, Madame Monsieur, Aurélie Saada, Victor Mechanick, Yarol Poupaud, Joyce Jonathan and many more.

Each concert was a unique experience, brought to life by artists whose talents were as varied as they were extraordinary. This year's line-up promises to be equally eclectic and true to our credo, with everything from electro music to velvety-voices and blues guitar to explosive yet delicate string and brass arrangements, coupled with indie-pop and spellbinding DJ sets. Unique evenings under the stars await you!

21 JUNE - PAPOOZ + AGOP

Papooz entered our lives never to leave again in 2015 with ‘Ann Wants To Dance’. This heady single in the form of a carefree pop tune, carried by an androgynous and haunting voice was as light and graceful as a soap bubble and conceived as a hymn to joy. It was an unprecedented success that got the duo off to a flying start, with a very simple objective in mind: to make music, or at least pop music, the soundtrack of their lives, driven by a love of guitars and above all, a desire to make people happy.

Agop: Long-haired and light-hearted, with a magnetic voice and unstoppable mantras, Agop breathes new life into the musical landscape with his infectious folk and optimistic pop. A “cool boy” from Marseille living in Paris (and yes, the reverse does happen), Agop likes to confuse and juggle with a variety of influences, from the Beatles to Dua Lipa, via Sam Cooke, Richard Ashcroft, La Compagnie Créole, Harout Pamboukdjian and Eric Cantona. Mixing English and French, indie spirit and mainstream influences, Agop has built up a wealth of experience on stage, from the Olympia (opening for Keane) to the Zénith in Paris (60th anniversary of Europe 1), via some of Marseille's finest venues including the Moulin, Espace Julien and Dock des Suds, to name but a few.

28 JUNE - CHARLES PASI + FRANKIE CONNOLLY

Charles Pasi: A virtuoso harmonica player, singer-songwriter and instrumentalist, Parisian Charles Pasi made his debut at the age of seventeen in a gospel choir. A singer and guitarist, he is passionate about blues, jazz, rock and world music. Composing his own songs, he attracted the attention of music and film professionals, who entrusted him with the soundtracks for Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi's film ‘Actrices’ and Yann Moix's ‘Cineman’. Since 2006, he has collaborated with Maceo Parker, Archie Shepp, Ben Harper, Jeff Beck, Jack Johnson, Zaz, Grand Corps Malade, Jean-Louis Aubert, Carla Bruni and more. ‘Zebra’ is Pasi's second album for the Blue Note record label. It was composed over the course of two years while touring his previous album, Bricks, that featured around a hundred dates across the world, including China, Tunisia, the Netherlands, Turkey, Reunion Island and Mauritius. It has to be said that Charles Pasi, from the outset, has made a mockery of frontiers and limitations. A finalist in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2006, he opened for Neil Young before signing with Blue Note in 2015: a dream come true.

Frankie Connolly is an English artist who has been active in London’s blues circles since a very young age. He has been a member of a number of musical projects that have taken him all over the world, where his talents as a virtuoso guitarist and as a singer with a powerful, soulful voice that seems to know no bounds, have left their mark wherever he has played. With his unfailing humility, he is as capable of moving audiences with his blues repertoire, tinged with soul and rock'n'roll, as he is of making them want to take to the dance floor.

5 JULY - TÉTÉ + JENSON TAGG

TÉTÉ: A passionate guitarist since his teens, Tété released his first album, ‘L'air de rien’, in 2001. Two years later, his breakthrough came with ‘À la Faveur de l'Automne’, which went on to win a gold disc and was underpinned by its eponymous single, which over the years has become a veritable mainstay in the pantheon of French popular music. Tété's must-have album, released on 27 October 2003, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a brand-new reissue featuring nine bonus tracks, including five previously unreleased songs and four alternative versions! This is a chance to immerse yourself in the very special world of Tété, the singer-songwriter who has been delighting us for some 20 years now with songs steeped in his boundless melodic creativity and inspired by the Beatles, folk and American soul.

Jenson Tagg is a singer-songwriter from South London, a captivating musical storyteller with a diverse repertoire spanning country, folk and indie genres. With the release of three compelling albums, Jenson has firmly established himself as a versatile and prolific artist in London's vibrant music scene. His poignant lyrics and melodies effortlessly blend elements of country twang, heartfelt folk and indie charm. 12 JULY - SHAKE SHAKE GO + THE SONS OF GUNS

Shake Shake Go is a London-based indie-pop band made up of singer Poppy Jones, guitarist Virgile Rozand and drummer Kilian Saubusse. They made a name for themselves in 2015 with the release of their single ‘England Skies’, which was certified as a diamond single worldwide, and by supporting the likes of James Blunt in the UK (including a date at the famous Royal Albert Hall) and Rodrigo y Gabriela in France.

The Sons Of Guns are a British band formed ten years ago in Nice when David Zincke (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard), Jack Daniel (guitar, bass, vocals), Scott Richman (percussion, vocals) and Aymeric Ardimanni (keyboards, bass, guitar, vocals) met in the Old Town's live music clubs. Their shared roots in blues, folk, soul, 70s rock and even hip-hop, gave them the natural energy to write their songs and travel the world developing that age-old sense of a real band sound by playing gig after gig together.

19 JULY - LAURIE DARMON + ELISSA LAUPER

Laurie Darmon: Singer-songwriter, musician and producer, Laurie Darmon launched her musical career after studying law. She released her first self-produced EP, which was quickly spotted by France Inter and Universal Music, wrote three tracks for the singer Christophe, who noticed her when she was making her first television appearance, and then published her first album with Mercury in 2017. She finally decided to set up her own label, Lionne Records, in 2018 to prepare her second album, ‘Femme Studio’, which was released in 2020 and whose tracks were played on the radio for some two years. She now has over 50 million streams worldwide and sold out the Bataclan auditorium in June 2021.

Elissa Lauper has been a lover of words and melodies from an early age. In May 2020, at a time when the world was in lockdown, she decided to launch her project ‘Les Notes’ sharing texts on her insta account, a veritable diary, in the form of short stories. The initial response was so encouraging that she posted more and more regularly, and very soon many of these notes had been turned into songs tinged with echoes of folk, pop and electro. Shortly afterwards, the singer-songwriter of Swiss-Japanese origins, made her live debut, supporting Benjamin Biolay and Cœur de Pirate, as well as performing at legendary Parisian venues such as Les Bains.

26 JULY - COBI + YAMIN ALMA

Cobi: Born in Minnesota, Cobi is a songwriter whose raw songwriting talent and powerful voice leave no one unmoved. A young blues guitar prodigy, Cobi began performing in clubs and cut his teeth playing long nights in smoke-filled bars across the United States. The endless highways and byways of his homeland led him to Los Angeles, a recording contract with a major label in hand. The first to spot his potential was Lyor Cohen, co-president of Def Jam Recordings. Cobi's first single, ‘Don't You Cry For Me’, went straight to the top of Spotify's worldwide charts, as well as to number one on SiriusXM Spectrum radio.

Yamin Alma: Imagine a Ryan Adams with a self-produced album, a Lenny Kravitz minus the ego, a James Bay who didn't overplay his fragility - the essence of blues-folk on a human scale, with instinctive sophistication and radiant energy. Yamin Alma belongs to the universal America of artists whose guitar is an extension of their soul - and his is the soul of a ruggedly handsome, experienced musician. Romantic, troubled and charming, he writes in English and has been known to blown into his harmonica, Dylan-style.

2 AUGUST - MEDI + FRANCK & DAMIEN

Medi: As a singer-songwriter, as well as director and producer, Medi is definitely a one-man band. Born in 1979, he didn't wait until he came of age to play drums in the bars of Nice's Old Town. He then moved to England where he caught the attention of Dave Stewart, one half of the legendary Eurythmics duo. With the Atmosphériques record label, he released the album ‘You Got Me Moving’ in 2011, with the hit single ‘How Would You Do It’. A key figure in the rise of Charlie Winston, for whom he drummed, Medi has also worked as a producer for Ben Mazué, Grand Corps Malade and Fréro Delavega.

Franck & Damien: Family is important. Feeling good, relaxed, loved, listened to, within a community of friends who share the same feeling, interests and sensations. Franck & Damien share in their love of the warm tones of the lap steel, the intoxicating sound of the guitar slide, the roundness of the six-string and the freshness of the banjo. Blues, roots country music and the folk-rock that was born in the barns of Laurel Canyon... A moving blend of harmonies, soulful voices, encounters, simplicity, humility, and togetherness... Surfing, deserted beaches, California and the Australian outback are all summoned...

9 AUGUST - HAYLEN + CHARLIE RAE

Haylen is a modern-day pin-up girl. When she was a teenager, she was more interested in music than in studying, so decided to skip school and learn guitar hanging out with friends at the Place des Innocents in Paris. From ‘Nirvana’ to ‘Incubus’ and ‘System of a Down’, Haylen discovered a real passion for music. It was in the metro, squat-scene, underground music venues and through jam sessions that she forged a solid reputation as a rhythm guitarist and established herself as a talented singer with a smooth and penetrating voice. During one of these jam sessions, she crossed paths with Simon Truxillo and Andrew Mazingue, who enabled her to record her first tracks thus fulfilling her ambitions. Then, one day, ‘punk diva’ Amy Winehouse came on the scene and introduced her to the world of soul, jazz and the vintage glamour of the 50s and 60s, together with the icons who still inspire her today: Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Wanda Jackson, Betty Davis, Marvin Gaye, Elvis Presley and more.

Charlie Rae is a Franco-Scottish singer. Born in Paris in the 90s, she grew up in Scotland in the Rae family, well-known for its jazz musicians. Immersed in a musical and artistic world, Charlie began singing, composing and playing the guitar from an early age. During her teenage years, while studying at the Academy of Music and Sound in Edinburgh, she sang in a number of punk rock bands. Keen to reconnect with her French roots, she moved to Paris in 2012. One amazing encounter followed another and she became the lead singer of ‘She Way Out’, an electro-pop group produced by Eric Serra. At the same time, she landed the lead role in 'Rose et la magie de Noel', a musical by Vincent Malone. She also featured in ROY, a series project by Julie Voisin and Alexandre Tacchino.

16 AUGUST - JUSTIN NOZUKA + OTTA

Justin Nozuka: Fresh from his sold-out European and North American tour, Justin Nozuka is building on the momentum of his fifth studio album, ‘Daydreams & Endless Nights’. Born in New York and raised in Toronto to a musical family, Justin has enjoyed worldwide success with his RIAA gold-certified albums ‘Holly’ and ‘You I Wind Land and Sea’, the latter reaching number one on Billboard's Heatseekers album chart.

OTTA: Singer-songwriter, OTTA grew up in Cannes on the Côte d'Azur. A lover of music, melodies and singing, he learnt to play the guitar and other instruments at a very young age. His first single ‘Coldhearted’ really defines his musical identity, with its urban, soul and funk influences. For him, pop is above all a song that stays in your head from the very first listen.

23 AUGUST - KIMBEROSE + ELISE ALLASIA

Kimberose: Three years after the success of ‘Out’, a gold disc, Kimberose takes flight with a brand-new chapter. ‘Du rose ou rien’, her new album, is the manifesto of an emancipated artist at peace with herself, able to offer real gems of soul, sun-drenched disco and French chanson all on the same album. Kimberose has the stage presence of a diva from the golden age of soul, jazz and R&B catapulted into the modern age. With a range of three octaves - à la Aretha Franklin and Beyoncé - and a natural propensity for embodying the undulations of sound, this French performer of Franco-British and Ghanaian descent, explores a variety of styles before transmuting them into a flamboyant pop world, with a rhythmic freedom of rare modernity.

Elise Allasia is a pop-soul singer from the Côte d'Azur. Discovered by local label Dime On Music at the tender age of 17, Elise was soon invited to perform at various venues and festivals in France and abroad (Nuits Guitares, Crossover, etc.), where she performed her material live with several notable collaborations including Medi and Jake Raggio on a number of singles. Following her participation in season 11 of The Voice, Elise recorded her first single ‘Miracle’ - a mix of pop and jazz that reflects her hybrid musical influences - which was released on 14 July 2023.

The Magician has emerged as one of the most celebrated names in modern house music over the last decade. From his groundbreaking remix of Lykke Li's ‘I Follow Rivers’ to his latest collaboration with A-Trak on ‘Love On You’, The Magician has continued to captivate audiences with his infectious beats and magnetic stage presence. His multi-platinum remix of Lykke Li was a monumental achievement, earning him worldwide recognition and a string of top 10 hits.
